Phelps Winter Arts Night is this week! On January 28, 2025 from 5:30-7:30 pm, Art Displays will be available for viewing on the second floor of Phelps School. At 6:00pm, the Phelps Third and Fourth Grade Chorus will perform in the cafeteria! We hope to see you there.

Sign up for the Polar Plunge on February 6! Registration will take place daily during lunches AT RHS until Tuesday, February 4. Proceeds from this fundraiser will go to the Special Olympics.
BELLE OF THE BALL is a program that allows students to "shop" for prom attire for free. The event will take place at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston on March 22. See the full flyer in this week's Rockland High School Newsletter for sign up information.
MIDTERM EXAM REMINDERS
Midterm exams began on Friday. They will continue after the long weekend through Thursday, January 23, which also marks the end of term 2. Please be aware that during midterm exams, school begins at 9:00 AM. Students may report to school at normal time (for instance, bus students) and can report to the cafeteria or the library. Breakfast will be available to students. Next week, students will take two midterms each day Tuesday through Thursday, one in the morning from 9:15 - 11:00 AM and one in the afternoon from 12:35 - 2:20 PM. There will be a lunch and study block in between exams. Students will be dismissed from school at 2:20 PM. Students having a study during an exam block can come in after the first exam (11:00) or leave before the second exam (12:30) without a dismissal. Please refer to the attached schedule.
Welcome back! Phelps Elementary School will open on Wednesday, August 30. Rolling drop off is 7:20-7:30 at the front main entrance circle, and dismissal is at 2:00 pm. We can’t wait to welcome you to our beautiful new school!
Esten Early Childhood Center will be hosting three Open Houses on Tuesday, September 5th. We invite all incoming AM preschool and full-day pre-kindergarten students and their families to an Open House on Tuesday, September 5th, from 9:00-9:30 a.m.

Welcome back, RPS! School starts Wednesday, August 30th, for students in grades 1-12. Pre-K & Kindergarten students start the following week on Wednesday, September 6th. We are excited for another amazing year, Rockland!

Final exams for grades 9-11 students begin on Monday, June 12th. During our final examination period, regular class sessions will be suspended. Students taking two exams in one day must arrive before 9:00 a.m. and remain in school until the conclusion of the second exam period at 1:30 p.m. Students taking only one exam on any given day must arrive on time for that exam and may leave campus when the exam period is concluded. Lunch will be served in the cafeteria from 11:00-11:30 AM.
Please join us for the RMS History Fair on Monday, June 12th at 6pm in the RMS Library Media Center. All are invited to attend this incredible event. Student work will be showcased throughout the library.
On Tuesday, June 6th and Wednesday, June 7th, all grade 9 Rockland High School students will take the Science portion of the MCAS Exam in the morning. Passing the exam is a high school graduation requirement. Please bring a charged Chromebook and power cord. Students in grade 10 & 11 should report to school no later than 10:38.
The last day of school for kindergarten students is Friday, June 9th. Students will be dismissed at 12pm.
There will be an early release day on Thursday, June 1st. Grades K-4 will be dismissed at 12pm while grades 5-12 will be dismissed at 11:20am.
Happy Graduation, Class of 2023! Congratulations on your incredible accomplishment. The graduation ceremony will take place on Friday, June 2nd at 5:30pm at Veterans Memorial Stadium.
On Friday, May 26th, all elementary students will participate in a Memorial Day Celebration at Veterans Memorial Stadium at 9:30am.
