RMS students and staff will be participating in a Walk-a-thon to raise money for Water for South Sudan. Our efforts to support this organization are inspired by our One Book One School summer reading book, A Long Walk to Water by Linda Sue Park. As a result of reading this book, we learned that many rural villages in South Sudan lack easy access to clean drinking water, something we take for granted every day. RMS wants to help our world! We are promising to raise $5000 for this organization which will help to fund a drilling rig for a well which will provide village people in South Sudan with fresh and clean water.
Our Walk-a-thon will occur after school on Thursday, October 24th. Further details will be sent home with your child. Please consider supporting your child and this worthwhile project. Bulldog Pride! Go Bulldogs!
