Jessica Crowley, our district Physical Therapist, and her intern, Lauren Kenney, planned and organized a Disability Awareness Fair for our fourth grade students. The purpose of this event was to spread awareness to students regarding different types of disabilities and to provide them with a firsthand experience of what it might be like to live with a disability. This event took place on December 2 and 3 in our gymnasium. Our whole special education staff participated in showing our fourth grade students what it may be like to have a disability. It was a great learning event for all involved.
