Pre-Kindergarten Room

In our PreK classroom we provide activities that will stimulate your child’s interests and meet their capabilities. We have created an environment which encourages children to be independent with the support of caring adults. Our classrooms are designed for centered play and learning. Areas of interest include dramatic play, creative art, book area and a science/exploratory area.

Our Pre-K curriculum is designed to:

• Build self-esteem

• Develop Vocabulary

• Encourage recognition of differences in sound, size, shape, and color

• Increase interest in books, numbers, people and cultures

• Improve coordination

• Introduce new ideas

• Develop self-help skills

Typical Pre-K Schedule:

• Arrival

• Morning Snack

• Circle Time, Songs, Stories

• Art Activity or Centered Play

• Outdoor/Gym Play

• Lunch

• Quiet Time – No Naps

• Clean up & Bathroom

• Afternoon Snack

• Free Play/Outdoor Play
