Door 24 Math is a free app for helping your students achieve computational fluency – an integral part of success in mathematics! Aligned to the Common Core, Door 24 provides targeted practice in the use of basic facts, number sense, and algebraic thinking. Students can work through 6 different levels and multiple problem sets as they help fix Victor the robot’s circuits and solve the mystery behind Door 24!

Thinking Blocks Ratios is a free app for learning how to model and solve word problems involving proportional reasoning. In this interactive tutorial, children are introduced to 6 problem solving models. The models help children organize information and visualize number relationships.

Reinforce reading, measuring and fraction skills by cooking with your child. Kraft Kids Center website offers numerous recipes. Some are ones that your child can make all on his/her own.

Dare to Share Fairly is a free app that is a visual math tool for children who are learning how to divide larger numbers. Children use place value blocks to demonstrate fair sharing. The standard division algorithm is presented for comparison.

The goal is to find the weight of each space creature and assemble a team for the next shuttle mission. Intended for ages 10+. Number Rack is a free app that facilitates the natural development of children’s number sense. Rows of moveable, colored beads encourage learners to think in groups of fives and tens, helping them to explore and discover a variety of addition and subtraction strategies.

Visual Algebra Puzzles is a free app that allows you to create your own algebra puzzles then try to solve them! This easy to use, educational tool was designed to work together with Shuttle Mission Math, an algebraic reasoning game in the app store. Puzzles can be solved with at least one of the following visual strategies: Scale Up, Scale Down (multiply or divide), Combine Teams (add or subtract), and Subtract Knowns.
