Summer is a great time to participate in an enrichment program and many colleges and universities offer pre-college programs for high school students. We will add programs to the list as they become available or you can visit a specific school's website to see if they offer a program.
Summer Discovery - a wealth of information on summer discovery programs and summer internships.
Project Contemporary Competitiveness (PCC) - PCC is a 4 or 6 week residential program at Stonehill College for students entering Grades 8 - 11.
University of Connecticut (UCONN) - Explore Engineering Program - open to current sophomores and juniors.
Boston University Summer Term - Offers 5 different summer options, ranging from 1 week - 6 week programs.
Worcester Polytechnic Institute - STEM programs for students entering Grades 11 + 12.
New England High School Journalism Collaborative - held at Regis College in Weston - a one-week, all expense paid program (June 22nd - June 29th).
Boston University Summer Journalism Institute (for students ages 14-18).
Duke University Summer Session - one week and three week academic enrichment programs for students in Grades 9 - 12 and a four week academic credit program for students currently in Grades 10-12.
Bryant University Global Leadership Summer Program - One week program for rising juniors or seniors who have dreamed of becoming a CEO, entrepreneur or leader in international business.
Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (NY) - PREFACE is a two week residential program for rising Juniors and Seniors for students in groups that have been underrepresented in Science, Technology and Engineering fields.
Boston University Summer Lab - For students entering Grade 10 through the first year of college. This 2-week program is for students interested in medical sciences or biotechnology. Program is offered as a residential or a commuter program.
The Academies at Harvard - offers intensive, 5-day academic enrichment programs for high-achieving high school students. If interested, please see your Guidance Counselor.
Norwich University - GenCyber Forensics Camp. June 23rd - June 29th. This camp is for students who are interested in training in Cyber Security and Digital Forensics. Applications are due April 7th. This program is free for all participants as it is grant funded.
Regis Summer Scholars Program - This 6 week program allows rising juniors and seniors an opportunity to take 2 college level courses in Leadership & Management or the Health Professions and receive 6 college credits.
Western New England University Pre-College Summer Program - August 5th - August 16th. Programs include: Music Production & The Coding Behind it, CSI (Crime Scene Investigation), Trial Skills, Intro. to STEM and Robotics, Pharmacy.
Bryant University - Summer Economics Program- August 5th - August 9th - daily from 9:00 - 3:00. This program is for rising sophomores, juniors and seniors.
UMass Amherst - Pre College Summer Programs. 1, 2 and 3 week options available in a wide variety of academic areas.
Curry College - CSI Forensics Program - for rising sophomores - seniors. July 8th - July 12th.
Roger Williams University - Summer Business Enterprise Academy - for rising juniors and seniors. July 7th - August 1st - Tuesday - Thursday.
