JANUARY 4, 2019

Here are a few highlights from this past week:

  • The Student Government Council recognized School Resource Officer Ethan Schnabel the week before vacation as a staff Top Dog. Here is an article published in The Veritas highlighting Officer Schnabel’s achievements since becoming SRO in 2016. Be sure to watch this video that the students put together too!
  • IMAGES, the school’s award winning literary magazine, had a busy two weeks. The club published this new edition called “Winter Solstice.” IMAGES was also recognized by the American Scholastic Press Association for earning second place in a recent competition. Here is their certificate.
  • Here is December’s  Site Council approved minutes.
  • Students in the RHS Band and Chorus were busy the week before the holiday break performing at each of the elementary schools and the senior center. Read this article to learn more as well as see some great pictures of their trip spreading holiday cheer around town!
  • On Friday, December 21st, RHS welcomed back several Rockland High School alumni to speak to our graduating seniors. Here is a picture of some of our alumni as well as a story published in The Veritas.
  • Here is a winter sports update.
