RMS Hosts “Hidden in Plain Sight” Exhibit

As a follow up to our October, “Prescription for Education” presentation to 7th and 8th grade students, the Rogers Middle School Guidance Department, in conjunction with Rockland CARES, Brockton Area Prevention Collaborative and the Rockland Police Department  hosted a “Hidden in Plain Sight” demonstration during our parent conferences on Thursday, November 15th. Rockland’s Photovoice Project was displayed as well. The “Hidden in Plain Sight” program creates a mock teenager bedroom that parents and guardians have the opportunity to view. This setup allows participants to see and identify different drug paraphernalia as well as hiding places for drug paraphernalia. Rockland police officers were also available to answer any questions. Photovoice was created by the Brockton Area Prevention Collaborative. It is community art project which uses photography to describe the strengths, weaknesses, and overall health of a community. Rockland’s  Photovoice Project focuses on the topic of addiction to raise awareness and promote discussions surrounding the topic. The full display of Rockland’s Photovoice project can be found online at
