Rockland High School’s Student Government Council held its annual “Project Pumpkin” on Sunday, Oct. 28, and once again it was a success. Families and cute trick-or-treaters roamed the hallways and filled their treat bags at Rockland High School from 1 to 4 p.m. Student Government Council students, who also enjoyed getting dressed up, handed out peanut free candy as children circulated through their stations. Children could also go through the haunted hallway on their way to the gym where they played games, had their faces painted, and jumped in the bounce house.
Running the event was the Student Government Council’s Student Services Committee. In charge of the committee is senior Sarah Pollard, a Halloween fanatic, who called the event’s success a team effort. “The event went smoothly. There was a great turn-out and I’m thankful for all who volunteered and the families that came.”
Principal John Harrison, who attended the event with his daughter Peyton and his wife Larissa, said, “Thank you to SGC for all your hard work. A job well done!”
Veritas photographers Arianna Esposito, Alexxys MacDonald, and Danting Zhu captured the event. To see additional photos and a video go here.
