What technologies are available in the Library?
Answer:
The RHS Library holds 18 student computers in the main library area. All computers offer access to Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint, as well as iMovie, Safari (our internet browser), and iPhoto. LCD projectors are used in whole-class instruction. The library's print collection can be searched using our Atriuum library software from any school computer.

Answer:
Throughout the day, students use the library for research and pleasure reading. At any time, you can find students reading magazines, newspapers, the news on the internet, typing senior memories, browsing our print collections, designing Powerpoint presentations, and much more. The library is a positive, inspiring place to be!

What are the "Research Databases" and how do I access them?
Answer:
If you want up-to-date, reliable sources for almost ANY project, our subscription databases (Infotrac, eLibrary, Newsbank, Proquest, NetLibrary, and our new Literary Reference Center) are unsurpassed. You can access millions of articles from popular magazines, academic journals, encyclopedias, and local newspapers, and find audio and video clips, and classic novels and plays.
Access the databases from any RHS Library computer using the LINKS section of this site. To access them from home: go to http://www.mblc.state.ma.us, and enter your public library card number into the "Read Magazines and Newspapers Online" area.
Question:
How do I sign-up to use the Library?
Answer:
Students sign-up to use the library at the beginning of their study class, before the late bell. A student who signs in to the library remains in the library for the entire period. Students who sign-up for fifth period take third lunch.
